As a S&S Systems Engineer, you'll provide critical technical solutions, proactively address potential issues, and enhance our products through in-depth performance analysis. You'll also build strong customer relationships by offering tailored support both remotely and through on-site visits. Reporting to the Head of Service & Support, you'll be part of a dynamic team, benefiting from strong leadership and opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • You will oversee and optimize the performance of our critical databases, systems, and servers. You'll proactively monitor stability, conduct in-depth technical analysis, troubleshoot issues, and manage updates to ensure maximum uptime and security.

  • You will provide seamless technical support to end-users by providing daily assistance, on-call availability, expert troubleshooting of software-hardware integration, and support for radar system deployments both remote and on-site.

  • You will utilize data analysis to uncover performance trends and solve technical problems, collaborating closely with Product and R&D teams to enhance user experience and influence product development.

  • You will ensure continuous maintenance and compliance by conducting regular inspections, performing preventive maintenance, identifying and resolving vulnerabilities early, and contributing to product performance reviews with customers.

  • You will manage field operations and ensure quality by addressing on-the-spot technical issues, diagnosing malfunctions, managing sub-contractors on location, and providing essential support for on-site demos and installations, ensuring compliance and quality standards are met.

  • You will be the master of knowledge and documentation by maintaining meticulous records of all activities, repairs, and system performance, ensuring efficient operations and effective knowledge sharing.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field.

  • 3–5 years of IT support experience, with a focus on computers (mainly Ubuntu/Linux), hardware setup/maintenance, and monitoring or diagnostic tools. (Roughly 60% computer/Linux, 40% radar/field hardware.)

  • Solid understanding of Linux (preferably Ubuntu), general networking (SSH, port forwarding, firewalls), and network troubleshooting (able to read diagrams and trace issues).

  • Valid driver’s license for North America. (Trailer license would be beneficial)

  • Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with a proactive, detail-oriented, and creative approach.

  • Able to work independently on-site and collaborate effectively within a team.

  • Experience with radar systems or similar industrial hardware.
