Join Robin Radar as a Software Developer and play a key role in enhancing our radar technology. You will be responsible for building, adapting, and modifying software for our radar products, contributing to improved performance and safety and helping ensure customer satisfaction.

As part of our dynamic and agile R&D Software Development Team, you will collaborate closely with colleagues and report to the Head of R&D Software Development, who will provide guidance and support.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C++ code.

  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.

  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.

  • Working with other departments on technical issues including software system design and maintenance.

  • Analyzing information to recommend and plan the installation of new systems or modifications of an existing system.

  • Consulting with engineering staff to evaluate software hardware interfaces and develop specifications and performance requirements.

  • Give direction to software programming and documentation development.

Job requirements

  • BA/MSc degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a C++ software developer.

  • Current knowledge of (advanced) C++ 17/20 standards.

  • Extensive experience in developing and deploying software on Linux.

  • Knowledge of multithreaded code, real-time environments and Qt

  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL databases, JSON and XML.

  • Familiarity with low-level hardware interactions.

  • Ability to develop unit tests of code components using GoogleTest.

  • Experience with Bitbucket or similar version control systems, Jira and Qt Creator.

  • Strong understanding of the software development life-cycle and familiarity with continuous integration (Jenkins).

  • Worked with development methodologies like Agile/Scrum.

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Good collaboration and communication skills.

  • Good organizational and time management skills.

  • Good communication skills in English, and it would be great if you speak Dutch as well.

  • Live in The Netherlands, within commuting distance from The Hague.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with radar systems or a similar industry

  • Experience with embedded systems design
