Responsibilities
You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining QHSE policies and procedures, ensuring they meet the highest industry standards and regulatory requirements.
You will play a key role in reviewing and continuously improving our Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment (QSHE) management systems.
You will conduct thorough risk assessments and internal audits to identify potential hazards and ensure our processes comply with regulations, and you'll be instrumental in recommending and tracking improvements and corrective actions.
You will promote and enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and champion safe work practices to protect the health and safety of our employees.
You will manage internal environmental reporting requirements, including monitoring the performance of our EMS system, updating the Environmental Aspects Register, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting to government and other regulatory authorities.
You will lead in-depth investigations of incidents, accidents, and near-misses, performing root-cause analysis to determine contributing factors and developing effective corrective and preventive measures to prevent recurrence.
You will contribute to the development and coordination of comprehensive emergency response plans and drills to ensure the organization is well-prepared for various emergencies.
You will develop and deliver engaging training sessions on a wide range of QHSE-related topics, promoting a strong culture of safety, quality, and environmental stewardship throughout the organization.
You will be responsible for maintaining meticulous documentation and records of all QHSE activities, including inspections, audits, training sessions, and incidents, and you will provide regular reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
You will collaborate closely with management and employees across all departments to facilitate a culture of continuous improvement in QSHE performance and practices, driving a positive and lasting impact on our operations.
Job requirements
BA/MSc or HBO degree in Occupational, Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in QSHE roles and QSHE Management systems.
Strong knowledge of quality, health & safety, and environmental management systems and best practices (ISO9001, ISO45001 and ISO14001).
Certification in QSHE (related to ISO 45001, ISO 14001) is preferred.
Fluency in English, fluency in Dutch is a plus.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Pro-active, hands-on mentality, attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills and a structured approach to addressing issues in a timely manner.
Excellent written and verbal communication, training and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively across diverse cultures and backgrounds.
