Job requirements

Day-to-day, here's what you'll really do: 

  • Backend testing;
  • Integration testing (system test);
  • Middleware testing e.g. Enterprise Service Bus (ESB);
  • Creating automated tests and automating integration tests;
  • Evaluate the test results and communicate potential causes and solutions to the team;
  • Prepare test software and optimize the existing test protocols;
  • You’re responsible for the clear registration of reports and outcomes;
  • You’re responsible for maintenance and expansion of our test suite.

You’ll be part of the R&D Software team, and work closely with the Research & Development Hardware team. We all are responsible for guaranteeing the quality of the products. You’ll report to the Head of R&D Software, who is there to support and guide you.

What we're after: 

  • We expect a technical education at HBO+ level;
  • You have a minimum of three years of experience in software testing;
  • It’s a plus if you have experience with robot framework, Linux, Git, Jira;
  • You see it as a challenge to test the complex integration between different systems so that your teammates can adapt and manage the integration components;
  • You are aware of developments in the market; dare to look ahead and dare to innovate;
  • Agile working does not cost you any effort and you see working with the various modern tools, Cloud solutions and techniques as a challenge;
  • You have a broad test automation background where you have gained knowledge of integration concepts, web services, ESB, xml/xsd/wsdl, json, api, SQL and Java(scripts);
  • You are a team player who is not afraid to ask questions or give feedback;
  • You help your colleagues and naturally take your responsibility within the team, as if you were running your own company;
  • You work in a very structured way, are patient and like order;
  • You're comfortable working independently (you don’t need somebody to give instructions), as well as collaboratively, with all stakeholders at Robin;
  • You have excellent communication skills in English to share your test results with the team, and it would be great if you speak Dutch as well;
  • You live in The Netherlands, within commuting distance from The Hague.
