Job description

The Head of Marketing will be responsible for strategically positioning Robin Radar in the fast developing market for small object detection. This includes driving brand awareness to generate high-quality sales leads and accelerate business growth, understand market requirements and help translate these into commercial plans and product roadmaps, and help drive overall company strategy as part of the extended leadership team. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, this role sets the vision and direction for all marketing activities, from brand and digital to events and campaigns, ensuring cohesive messaging across all channels. The Head of Marketing will lead and grow the marketing team, develop and execute comprehensive short- and long-term strategies, and oversee the effective use of CRM to boost engagement and conversions. With accountability for monitoring market trends, expanding Robin’s presence in North America, conducting market research, and managing the marketing budget, this role plays a pivotal part in shaping the company’s positioning and supporting its overall business plans.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and present both long- and short-term marketing plans in close consultation with Robin’s management team, aligned with our overall growth strategy.

  • Lead, manage, and grow the marketing team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture.

  • Monitor trends in relevant market sectors to anticipate opportunities and challenges.

  • Evaluate, analyze, and optimize ongoing marketing campaigns to ensure effectiveness and ROI.

  • Champion the implementation and effective use of the CRM system, driving adoption and conversion growth.

  • Drive the development of the North American market by growing brand presence through targeted campaigns, events, and the addition of local resources.

  • Build a strategic marketing function by conducting market research, analyzing positioning, and providing strategic inputs into business plans and product requirements.

  • Manage and monitor the marketing budget to ensure efficient allocation of resources and maximum impact.

Job requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in marketing, including at least 2 years in a leadership role such as Head of Marketing or Marketing Manager.

  • Proven marketing experience within a technology-driven environment.

  • Familiarity with complex, long sales cycles and the ability to tailor marketing strategies accordingly.

  • Strong capability in positioning brand and product messaging effectively.

  • Creative mindset combined with a structured and strategic approach.

  • Confident presenter with strong customer-facing skills and professional self-assurance.

  • Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.

  • Based within commuting distance of the office in The Hague.

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

  • Hands-on experience with HubSpot, Jira, and Adobe InDesign is a strong plus.
