GL Accountant

You will play a pivotal role in shaping our financial landscape. We are looking for our new GL Accountant. Are you ready?

As the GL Accountant, you'll be steering various financial tasks like handling transactions, reconciling accounts, and managing tax submissions. Beyond that, you'll play a role in budgeting, overseeing the ERP system, contributing strategically to Intercompany transactions, and suggesting improvements to our systems. Your plate will also include payroll management, balance sheet reconciliations, and helping out with annual accounts—all while connecting with key players both inside and outside the organization.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that all transactions are properly registered;

• Monthly profit and loss, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash flow reporting (individual and consolidated);

• Submitting VAT and Corporation Tax returns in coordination with the Finance team and External Advisors;

• Setting budgets with the CFO and Finance Controller and creating reports for presentation to the Management Team;

• Reconciling invoices, purchase orders and transactions in the ERP system;

• Assisting with yearly financial audit;

• Automate and propose improvements to the ERP system;

• Booking the monthly payroll entries;

• Assisting in the preparation of annual accounts;

• Monthly monitoring of expenses and variance analysis vs forecast and budget.

• Experience with Odoo or equivalent ERP system;

• Experience in a global company and consolidation is desirable;

• Good knowledge of tax and regulatory matters in NL;

• Up to date with accounting, tax, and related regulations;

• Fluency in the Dutch language is a plus;

• Proactive and able to drive improvements;

• Ability to communicate well across cultures and to approach global tasks

• Attention to detail.
