Job description
The BI Reporting Specialist plays a critical role in transforming raw financial data into actionable business intelligence. This position is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the automated financial reporting infrastructure, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, and driving process efficiency through systems expertise and automation initiatives across the Finance team and wider organization.
Responsibilities
Design and deliver scalable financial reporting solutions (dashboards, reports) using BI tools (e.g., Power BI) for real-time insights;
Apply strong bookkeeping and accounting expertise to ensure financial data is structured, classified, and compliant with standards;
Coordinate with Finance and Operations teams to define, track, and report on operational and financial KPIs;
Maintain the single source of truth for financial data via regular reconciliation and validation checks;
Serve as the system expert within Finance, focusing on ERP data extraction, configuration, and optimization;
Drive process improvement and efficiency by leading or participating in automation projects (e.g., RPA, FinTech integration);
Develop and maintain documentation for all key reporting processes, data flows, and system logic;
Act as the primary financial data partner, collaborating cross-functionally to translate analytical needs into effective reports;
Support the monthly and quarterly financial closing processes with accurate and timely data extractions and reconciliations.
Job requirements
BS or MSc in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a relevant quantitative field;
A minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience in accounting, financial controlling, audit, or a systems/data-focused finance role;
Proven track record of maintaining excellent bookkeeping skills and applying them to data quality and reporting design;
Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Odoo or equivalent) with a focus on General Ledger (GL), data structures, and data extraction;
Strong knowledge in Business Intelligence tools for visualization and report development;
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel/Google Sheets) for complex financial modeling and analysis;
Demonstrated affinity and interest in automation and FinTech applications;
Strong communication skills;
Analytical acumen, precision, and attention to detail;
Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to structure complex processes and drive continuous improvement.
